In recent years, a number of calamitous data breeches made headlines and raised concerns about the dependability of digital health solutions. Ergo, as one of Europe’s key technological players, Lifen’s primary focus is to ensure that its customers attain full conformity with both local and international regulations.
In addition to our world-class tech expertise, we are well aware of health data policy and regulatory compliance challenges. As a partner that works closely with some of Europe's largest and most outstanding facilities - including Ramsay Healthcare, APHP and the Curie Institute - an essential part of our mission is to keep a finger on the pulse of policy and the medical community's evolving regulatory needs.
In France, several government initiatives developed since 2020 aim to accelerate the country's shift to a more robust and reliable healthcare paradigm, namely by promoting and improving eHealth practices. The aforementioned initiaives formed a sizeable funding programme, locally known as the eHealth Shift Accelerator (Ségur de la Santé), that puts a strong focus on innovation and digital transformation, data governance best practices and secure health IT system interoperability.
Since its inception, Lifen ticks all the boxes that make up the aforementioned Programme’s regulatory cornerstones: it is certified and listed by the Health Ministry as a Medical Communication Operator (MSSanté), official Health Data Host (Hébergeur de Données de Santé), and, most recently, a Health Intermediation Platform (Plateforme d'intermédiation.)
